PhoTether turns an Android phone into a wireless back for your camera — live view and remote shutter, frames arriving as you shoot, GPS written in the field, and every image landing on storage you own.

A guided setup pairs your camera over Bluetooth Low Energy and remembers it. Several bodies can be paired; switch between them from the app.
PhoTether brings up the camera's Wi-Fi link on demand, shows live view, and fires the shutter from your phone. Wired USB tethering is supported too.
Frames transfer to the phone's gallery and, if you want, straight on to a network share, an FTP server or a folder you configure.
A real-time feed from the sensor with zoom, exposure readout and shutter release from the phone. Punch in on any area of the frame to check focus before you shoot.
New frames arrive in the phone gallery automatically, with JPEG and DNG previews rendered on device.

PhoTether is an independent application. It is not made, endorsed, sponsored or supported by Leica Camera AG, Panasonic or any other camera manufacturer. Leica, Lumix and the model names above are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe which cameras the app works with. Compatibility depends on your camera's firmware.
PhoTether has no server. Your photographs go from your camera to your phone, and then only where you send them.
